Do you recognize that name? Brother Miles created this amoung many other church awards-
How many CTR rings have you owned in your life. How many have you lost or your kiddos lost in their lifetimes. Some people have expressed to me their dislike for this ring but NOT ME. I love it. I love what it stands for. I love how it can remind children, for whom it was created, or any age person to CHOOSE THE RIGHT. Thanks Brother Miles for this rings.
Brother Miles just passed away; you can go here to read about his life http://www.ldslivingonline.com/article.php?articleId=63390, I think it was worth my time.

Good Sabbath
What a great feeling to leave church and be uplifted, feeling so grateful to worship in my ward and knowing that I have learned and hopefully served well. Thanks for the lessons and sister comments dear friends.
Here's a quote I hope you enjoy as much as I do.
"Our homes are to be more than sanctuaries; they should also be places where God's spirit can dwell, where the storm stops at the door, where love reigns and peace dwells." -President Thomas S. Monson

United Families Internations
I sincerely hope you, all two of you who read this blog, will click on United Families International which is out of Gilbert, AZ and sign up to get their email newsletter.
We need to take a stand for all things good and keeping the family strong is definitely a good thing. It's empowering knowing you can make your voice heard and Stand For Truth and Righteousness. I love that "saying" and am so glad it is part of both the Young Women's and Relief Society statements.
Go ahead and do it. It's easy. I'm so proud of you. And here is this organizations web site http://www.unitedfamilies.org/index.cfm

Here is a fun new blog...just click Light Refreshments Served and enjoy. It's a site where several LDS women blog. Read their profiles and if you're like me you'll think they would be fun friends.
Hope you're all enduring summer well. I'm blogging less I know. Guess I'd better get busy.

July Visiting Teaching Message
Here are just 3 quotes from this months lesson. I hope we can all be a great friend/visiting teacher and bring this message along with our love into our sister's homes this month. You can find a link to the complete July 2008 lesson/message on the sideboard to the right.
"All Human Beings Are Created in the Image of God"
President Gordon B. Hinckley (1910–2008): "Our bodies are sacred. They were created in the image of God. They are marvelous, the crowning creation of Deity. No camera has ever matched the wonder of the human eye. No pump was ever built that could run so long and carry such heavy duty as the human heart. The ear and the brain constitute a miracle. . . . These, with others of our parts and organs, represent the divine, omnipotent genius of God" ("Be Ye Clean," Ensign, May 1996, 48).
President Thomas S. Monson: "God our Father has ears with which to hear our prayers. He has eyes with which to see our actions. He has a mouth with which to speak to us. He has a heart with which to feel compassion and love. He is real. He is living. We are his children made in his image. We look like him and he looks like us" ("
Susan W. Tanner, former Young Women general president: "[Did] your mother or father ever [remind you] to 'remember . . . that you are a child of God and must act accordingly'[?] Missionaries wear a badge as a constant reminder . . . to dress modestly and comely, to treat people with politeness, and to strive to have Christ's image in their countenances. . . . By covenant, we too have all taken upon ourselves Christ's name. His name should be engraven inwardly upon our hearts. Likewise, we are expected to act as worthy children of Heavenly Father, who, at least figuratively, has sent us to earth with the admonition 'Remember who you are!' " ("Daughters of Heavenly Father," Liahona and Ensign, May 2007, 107).
