Prayer and Personal Revelation
Today I appreciated Becca H's lesson in Relief Society #10 Prayer and Personal Revelation. It is a powerful lesson. Sandi made mention of a talk by Pres. Eyring about recording promptings. Click on the conference talk title for a link to his talk.

Blessed Beyond Measure

I bet I'm a lot like many of you and do the weekly house cleaning on Friday. My friend Susan E. did hers on Thursday so the week-end was truly free and I like that concept but just haven't switched over to Thursdays yet. While dusting this morning I picked up my wonderful gift from the stake Relief Society meeting last month and felt that rush of gratitude. I love that feeling. After the stake meeting I placed my gift in the family room and notice it often which I think is a good reminder (also a good reminder to dust weekly). I hope all of you were able to attend, be uplifted, inspired and receive a lovely gift to remind. Today I decided to take the time to reread the quote on the back.
"I promise you that all who faithfully attend to temple work will be blessed beyond measure. Your families will draw closer to the Lord. Unseen angels will watch over your loved ones when Satanic forces tempt them. The veil will be thin and great spiritual experiences will distill upon this people." Elder Vaughn J. Featherstone - April 1987
That is a powerful statement. I want and need those blessings for my family and myself. Doesn't it make us all want to circle May 29th, our Phoenix North Stake temple day, on our calendars and attend!!!
I also want to share a simplification tip here since I started this post about dusting. Cheryl recently told me about her Swiffer duster and how great it was. I tend to not purchase disposable "things" much but I did try this out and now I'm hooked. It makes dusting more thorough, easier and I'm all for that. I even bought one for Trevlyn. Well, back to cleaning, tending a mending dog and remembering my blessings.

Troubleshooting
Thanks to Allison's communication, I've found out you can't leave a comment. I'm working on that problem so please be patient with me. Thanks.

Hello Friends!
You found this!! Welcome, I'm so happy to have you visit. Cheryl, Sandi, Claudia and I have been discussing for some time the benefits of having a way to communicate to you via internet. We have discovered that the church has a policy against ward websites, blogs etc. . . . .so,
I have decided to create another personal blog site which I will keep personal and dedicate to church related information. This is not a Relief Society site. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is not connected to this site. I am just doing this personally. I will keep this blog "private". Only those of you who have been "added" will be able to view this. To be added, you have had to share with me your email address and I have entered it so you can view this blog. If you choose to have your address removed please communicate that to me and I will remove your email address immediately.
I hope you will notice the "side bar" where I have posted church websites that have great information. I also have an ongoing list of FHE lessons that also have a treat/refreshment recipe attached and a Deseret Book coupon. Note the coupon has an expiration date and can only be used on Mondays on nonsale items.
Please feel free to leave a comment to me. You just click on the word "comments" following this or any post and you will be directed to a screen where you can type a message. Is there something you would like me to consider sharing on this blog? I'm planning on sharing our good recipes from our RS events and encouraging you in Emergency Preparedness and Food Storage.
My desire is to be of help and encouragement. Remember, when visiting here or commenting to me, it's just me personally, your friend MarySue, not Sister Knight the RS president. Also, I have added only you whose email addresses I have. I do not want to exclude any of my dear ward sisters so if you know someone who's email address I don't have please help me to add them should they desire. Hoping you have a great day.

Finding Peace In The Mirror
"One of life’s most difficult marathons for women—young and not so young—is that of forming a healthy body image spiritually and intellectually and then physically achieving a body to match. As with actual marathons, this marathon can be demoralizing at times and exhilarating at others. For many of us, this marathon is all about making changes— changes in outlook, attitude, and behavior."
If you like the quote above click here to read this uplifting article. I liked the way it put the important things of life into perspective.
Hoping you have a day of good choices.
